My Story:
The Power of Personal Transformation
My work as a therapist is rooted in my own deeply transformative journey. Growing up in a peaceful corner of South-East Europe, I was thrust into the chaos of war in the Balkans during the 90s. At the age of 20, while studying law, I became a refugee—displaced, uncertain, and navigating unfamiliar terrain. My journey across borders—learning new languages, adapting to foreign cultures, and overcoming financial difficulties—was both challenging and life-changing.

Despite obstacles, I earned a law degree in Croatia, later moved to the U.S., and continued my education with an MBA, a master's in counseling, and ultimately a doctorate in psychology. Along the way, I spent 12 years as a stay-at-home mom, raising my two sons. Through it all, I struggled with self-doubt and sadness, and after years of struggle, I finally turned to therapy to address my own unresolved pain.

It was only after confronting my deepest traumas in therapy that I experienced the transformation I so deeply longed for. Under the guidance of a trauma-informed therapist, I emerged from the shadows of self-doubt and sorrow, stepping into a life filled with joy and confidence.

This is why I am passionate about helping others who are ready to confront their own difficulties and emerge as confident, joyful individuals. It is my professional mission to support those who seek growth, and I am committed to guiding my clients toward emotional freedom and joy.
